Hello, dear friend!
My name is Nina Osman. I am a professional ballet dancer, teacher and artistic director, originally from Saint Petersburg, Russia. I now live in Melbourne, Australia.
I graduated from the prestigious Vaganova Ballet Academy in 2008 as a ballet artist and received a Master's degree in Choreography and Teaching in 2013.
From 2008 to 2022, I danced at the Mikhailovsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg. In 2009, I won the Grand Prix at the international Riga Spring Ballet Competition.
Over the years, I have shared my knowledge of the Vaganova method through masterclasses in Europe, the USA, Australia and Asia. From 2022 to 2024, I worked as a full-time ballet teacher at the Russian Choreographic Academy in Melbourne. In 2021, I co-founded Desire Ballet, a ballet school in Saint Petersburg, where I became Artistic Director.
Today, I share my experience with dancers, teachers and ballet lovers around the world.
My work includes:
- Ballet training - professional classes, advanced training and lessons for adults who are new to ballet.
- Teacher development - masterclasses and training based on the Vaganova method.
- Ballet culture - lectures about ballet history, its traditions and artistic value.
- Ballet education and business - support with opening new ballet schools and developing their artistic direction.
I also create educational and artistic projects that make ballet accessible to more people. My children's books about ballet, I'm a Ballet Dancer book, online courses and YouTube project help people discover ballet at their own pace.
Whether you want to improve your technique, develop as a teacher, discover the world of ballet or build your own ballet school, I would be happy to share my knowledge and experience with you.
Let's discover the beauty of ballet together!
Warm wishes,
Nina Osman
